Police Leadership Development Programme

This Programme starts with the launch of the ‘Moodle Space’ area where you will have a one week settling in period.  During this period you will familiarise yourself with the contents of the ‘Moodle Space’, ‘My Space’ and ‘Portfolio/Assessment Guidance’ areas. Here you will find an overview of the programme, guidance material and details of the learning support available to you. 

 


 

Course Aim

The overall aim of the programme is to develop the skills and competence required for a Sergeant role within SPA / Police Scotland.

Learning Outcomes

      • Develop operational strategy's for day to day policing tasks
      • Develop personal leadership skills in the implementation of organisational strategies, including change management
      • Develop performance management skills, incorporating wellbeing, in the implementation of organisational procedures/processes for managing performance
      • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
